Fiercely awed with China Glaze at Isetan KLCC

Recently, I was given the privilege to check out the new China Glaze area in Isetan KLCC and was totally awed by their collection. I mean, I know of so many fans of China Glaze but it wasn't very easy to obtain their nail colours locally.

So, here are some photos and information that I shall share with you about China Glaze and their counter on the 1st floor of Isetan KLCC.

Prismatic Chroma Glitters
The Prismatic collection is just launched and already available this week. I have already seen a few colours from Prismatic painted at the event and they look quite marvellous

Does your nail colour represent your mood?

I received a surprisingly nice red colour nail polish at an event recently and it felt pretty good because I do not own any reds. Somehow, I always thought that red nails are cliché and so old fashioned because as far as I remember, nail polishes those days used to be shades of red.

This time however, I thought I'd have some fun with the colour, My Valentine by Revlon to mark my 'Red' week haha.... disgusting? I don't know... somehow it felt really good and I thought the red made me feel all gorgeous albeit moi being hormonal and the highly lethargic feeling synonymous with that time of the month.

So, instead of calling it My Valentine, I shall name it my that-time-of-the-month. Hehe...

I only have one blue Revlon shade before this. I think the coverage is pretty good, the brush slim and the colour can last 3-4 days without chipping. I use a good top coat but because I cook daily and the amount of dishes every day that needs to get cleaned, I am lucky if it could stay put for an entire 3 days. The only thing is, since the brush is a little slim, you may need to dip it twice to colour an entire nail, once for one half and another time for the other half.

And, since I am not a pro at colouring my nails nor have I been doing it my entire life, I'd say that Revlon nail polish is pretty decent.

What about you... do you colour your nails according to your mood or to symbolise something?

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Polish

I am wondering what happened to Sally Hansen? I remembered using it a lot back in those days in uni, apart from the affordable Maybelline and Revlon but I now hardly heard or read about it. I mean nowadays it is usually OPI or luxury brands like Chanel and Dior. So who really checks out the shelves of Sally Hansen in Guardian outlets? Do manicurists consider using it?

Here I am in front of my dressing table (and updating via the brilliant Blogger app on my Samsung Galaxy Note). I have my sister - in - law's wedding to attend shortly and since the theme colour is brown, I realised that I don't have any brown nail polishes from the wonderful collection that I own. Then I suddenly recalled buying one nice brownish tone on a whim and I felt so glad that the colour, Antique Bronze suits the theme perfectly. The colour is subtle enough to look sweet yet strong enough to be noticeable. And with a top coat like Seche Vite, applying nail polish just before an event is a breeze... Love love love!

Has anyone noticed this brand of nail polish in our local drugstore, Guardian? Have you ever tried it?
