DiGi iPhone 4 Life

It's not very often when you get the opportunity to say that something has come and changed your life and that things will never be the same again. Of course I’m talking about the iPhone 4! The iPhone 4 has yet again shown the rest of the smartphone world how things are really done. The ease of use pretty much makes the iPhone 4 stupid-proof and that's a big deal for me because it will make life much easier handling such a gadget. Before long you’ll wonder how you have gone without it before.

I've been telling my very tech savvy, Mr Husband the wonders of the iPhone 4 and even though he says that he doesn’t like it, I did catch him browsing the DiGi and Apple website looking for more info on the phone... even saw him tweeting about trying out his colleague's iPhone 4 at the office... such a flake, right? ;P

But who can blame him? It is such a wonderful device that anyone would want to get their hands on it, even if it meant fiddling with the iPhone 4 for just a couple of minutes :)

I can already think of ways for both of us to use it, actually.

Like, whenever he’s running late from work, I’ll just send him some provocative mms to encourage him to come home. You know... like this one....

Now how can he not get enticed with such a photo, eh?? That's my signature toughcookie's homemade burger. With the iPhone 4’s retina display, he can probably taste it *wink*

... or even me video calling him via FACETIME to encourage him to come home early...

...him coming home early to have some actual 'facetime’...

How can he resist this right?

daddy, come home fast, okeh? i mish yiu...

And what better to complement the smartest phone than that smarter choice for a telco - DiGi.

So, why wouldn't I be the best candidate to win the iPhone 4 from DiGi? I am smart (ehem!) and I pretty much acknowledge how much DiGi is the better choice for me. After all, iPhone 4 kind of stands for 'life' because it will be a part of everything I do daily and involves my family as well. I know I can share much more with you but not until I get my hands on that iPhone 4 from DiGi ;D

Definitely a smarter choice, always.

DiGi iPhone 4 Real

What I love about DiGi's iPhone 4 plans are its affordability and value for money. I have seen the plans from another local telecommunications company for iPhone 4 and I think that DiGi has innovated their plans to not put more burden on their iPhone 4 customers. I mean, if you have just forked out your hard earned money to buy the iPhone 4 of your dreams, the smarter choice for you is to pick a phone plan that is soft on your pocket but at the same time delivering the most value for your RM.

After all, DiGi claims that their iWant, iGet iPhone is possibly the best deals. Some claims actually have basis...

With 3 plans to choose from, I guess I can pick a plan that would suit my style and usage. The iDiGi 88 is probably the ultimate starter plan and for only RM88 per month, I can have access to 200 minutes of voice calls, 200 sms, 20 mms and a generous 1GB of data for my browsing and data needs. Hmmm... I'm not sure if I'd be satisfied with this but it does sound like it is sufficient.

I am also considering the iDiGi 138 plan which can be just perfect for me. I mean, for just RM138 a month, I would get 450 minutes of calls, 400 sms, 40 mms and a whopping 3GB of data. That's like double the iDiGi 88 plan but less than double the price! Even if I've used up the free voice calls and what not, the charges are pretty minimal. Surely a smarter choice, right?

Of course the iDiGi 238 plan may be more suitable for those using the iPhone 4 for business... for RM238 per month, one would get 1000 minutes of calls, 600 sms, 6o mms and 5GB of data. For a heavy user, you can call and sms to your heart's content and the generous data allocation would mean that one is able to utilise the iPhone 4 to its full potential.

But but but... what I love even more about DiGi's iPhone 4 plans is the fact that they're currently running a promotion for the first 24 months - they're slashing their monthly fees which results in more savings for users. Coupled with a RM5 discount if I sign up for autobilling, I only need to pay RM58 per month for the iDiGi 88 plan, RM88 for the iDiGi 138 plan and to those heavy users -only RM158 per month for the iDiGi 238 plan. I mean, how can I not be excited of this fact... a RM58 per month for me, allows me to save RM360 annually and that is another smart point.

Of course, all these can only happen if I get that iPhone 4 from DiGi. From then on, I know I have made a smarter choice.

DiGi iPhone 4 Play

My very tech savvy, Mr Husband, was telling me the other day that while it is true that the App Store has hundreds and thousands of Apps, its pretty useless if half of it are just lame ol' fart apps. Now I must say I disagree totally with him on this point because there is actually a bunch of useful Apps that one can download and purchase from the App Store that would instantly make one's life so much easier.

So, if I managed to get my hands on DiGi's iPhone 4 my favourite App would definitely be epicurious. See, I liken myself to a budding chef and I'm always on the look out for new recipes to cook for my family (and yes, even to my iPhone-hating husband!). So, what better way to take a culinary exploration by downloading the Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List app from the App Store. The App lets you browse from a selection of recipes and also provide recommendations on things to cook depending on the season or the occasion.

you may think this looks like a serious tool, but really, it's play for me! ;)

It has a handy search tool which u can use to search by recipes based on the main ingredients and has the option for food and drinks.

The recipes are brought to you by the website epicurious.com and I tell ya, you'd be spoilt for choices with all the recipes that they have on offer. I mean, I know I would get extremely excited with this app and turn into the budding chef I never thought I'd turn out to be ;)

Another handy tool would definitely be a dream tool for me - the shopping list. If you find a recipe that you'd like to try, and you want to get the ingredients, all you have to do is to just click on the recipe box and the ingredients will automatically be added to your shopping list for your trip to the supermarket. Isn't that so convenient, tremendously efficient and definitely a smarter choice for smarter users?? *wink*

.... and he thinks there's only fart apps. pah!

I'll cook up something special and he'll love the iPhone 4 for sure... but not before loving me more :D I mean, who wouldn't love their partner for having made a smarter choice, eh...

DiGi iPhone 4 Me

So, why do I want an iPhone 4 from DiGi? First of all, DiGi is always the smarter choice, right? So, that would be my smartest answer ;)

Secondly, who doesn’t want an iPhone 4? Well... maybe my husband, because he totally hates it. But really, what is there to hate?? - the crisp beautiful retina display, the hundreds and thousands of apps available for downloads, free or otherwise; the ease of which you can browse your favourite sites and listen to your favourite tunes; really, what is there not to love?

My tech savvy, Mr Husband would then point out it's lack of support for Flash. Well, yeah... but when it comes to mobile browsing, surely you can sacrifice the flashy graphics for a fast and stable browsing experience on your mobile phone, right? Who needs Flash anyway? Besides I’m sure in time Steve Jobs would use his jedi mind tricks and convince people to switch to HTML5 soon.

Hey, even youtube is now HTML5 compatible, I think...

On top of that, the iPhone 4 has finally revolutionised video calling (*yeayy!!*). Yes, you do have 3G video calls which have been around since the first age of 3G, but with FACETIME, your video calls are free and it is more stable with a faster WIFI connection. Surely this is more economical than the exorbitant call charges via 3G.

The sleek sexy iPhone 4 will definitely turn heads when a SAHM like me whips it out of my handbag that's usually filled with the baby's bottle, her biscuits and bib. Since the iPhone 4 is only 9.3mm thick which can be even thinner than a stack of pamphlets from that other phone company offering the iPhone 4, it also gives me more room for me to include a nice compact powder or even another piece of toy for my baby in my already stuffed handbag ;)

Last but not least, I'm being the smarter person to opt from spending countless hours queueing up just to wait for my number to be called before I can get my hands on this little beauty hehe...

I think my husband must be nuts not to want an iPhone 4. Come on DiGi, just give me one so that I can show him what he’s missing.

Movie Date: Killers

Last night (I mean, Thursday), Nuffnang sponsored our movie date night :)

The movie was just okay la... I wouldn't say it was great... it was just ok. But, the fact that I had the chance to catch a movie again with my dearly beloved of course made the experience lovely. I cherish these moments so much simply because it is pretty hard to come by.

Anyways, I thought Ashton Kutcher was really cute. Well, I know he is cute but what I meant was, the character that he played was really cute. I've never really seen him act a serious-geeky character and I guess that would make him a real good actor since he was believable.

The main female cast was just ok. I am not a big fan of Katherine Heigl and her character wasn't strong. So, just 2 cookies for her while Kutcher scores a 4 ;D

The story revolves around... wait... I don't even remember her character name! That isn't good, huh? googling now...

............. still googling...

Ok... she plays Jen, who met Spencer (I remember his character hehe...) on a vacation where he was performing his last job as an assassin. They fell in love in a cheesy way, got married, moved to a small town and after 3 years, his past came to haunt him. All hell broke loose from there and you will either find the plot weakening or heightened. Whichever way, the movie was still entertaining if you would only stop asking questions *smirk*

owh owh owh look at that hot bod. i mean, sun... hot sun ;P

aaahhh the joys of being in love. it's just great :)

wait, a gun in bed? hmmm...

one of the scenes when jen just found out spencer's little secret...

she's kinda like a computer software security expert or sumthin'...

You can read more about its plot here.

I guess if you're a big fan of Kutcher or Heigl, you wouldn't mind watching it because it provides a pretty decent entertainment. I guess what I liked about the movie was the part where all questions were answered... like it all finally made sense.

Don't watch it with too high of an expectation because well, you'll see why. Then again, I guess you've got to cut Kutcher (who produced it) some slack since he did tell us that this was indeed a perfect Friday night movie where a guy and a girl don't have anything else to do and would just like to let loose and while away time.

Judging from that night, we did manage to let loose after watching Killers.

So, thank you, Nuffnang, for the tickets. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Curious Kids Need To Be Tough Inside

supposedly written by Jada Kyra

Mommy has been busy with work. So, before the deadline's up, let me write this entry on how mommy help increase my immune system so that I can continue to be curious with the entire world... after all, I am only 17 months old and I still have a lot to discover! :)

Curious kids can be a handful... and who would know this better than I do - I am curious all the time! I would peek into abang's lunch plate as I would always see Mickey Mouse in it; I would want to touch the vacuum cleaner when daddy is handling it because I am always intrigued by the loud sound it makes; I would want to taste everything adults eat because my food always tastes quite the same; I would check in mommy constantly in the kitchen because I find it hard to understand what she does in there; I like to shake any water bottles because it is amazing seeing and hearing water being shaken; I would want to touch everything mommy or daddy touches because I want to feel the difference in the texture; and the list goes on and on... Sometimes, I pity my mom because I would catch her by surprise with my speedy actions but I am just a curious baby... and curious babies need to be tough inside.

Being curious is a good thing because that is how I learn about things... I learn how painful it is if I do not get up slowly from under the table because I can accidentally knock my head; I know better not to touch those shiny pots on the stove because they feel hot to the touch and I can get hurt if I touch them; I know that if I do not get out of the elevator quickly, the doors will close and I'll be trapped; I know that if I press that switch outside our door, the bell will ring; and I know that the vacuum cleaner is dirty because mommy would always clean my hands after I touched it.

But how does mommy and my family really help boost my immune system?

First and foremost, what can really toughen me up is the fact that mommy really feeds me well. She works hard to prepare nutritious home-cooked meals for me and I liked that this enables her to pick only the freshest ingredients, and prepare it in the cleanest environment possible - all in the comfort of her favourite kitchen. The lack of preservatives and only natural ingredients, coupled with yummy nutritious milk, help strengthen my antibodies in fighting viruses that would usually infect cute babies like me.

What a lot of people do not consider which I deem highly important apart from nutrition, is LOVE. I am fortunate to be loved by everyone around me. Mommy loves me dearly, daddy would do anything for me and abang has waited so long for my arrival. I am raised in a happy family and this feeling makes me feel good about myself. When I feel good, my immune system gets stronger. When there is so much love, the environment makes everything so positive and I can face the world, while I continue being curious as I know my family will try to make my experience pleasant and away from harm.

Next, adults are aware that exercise keep sickness at bay. For me, I need my play sessions. I love to play. Playing makes me happy, playing makes me discover new things and by playing, I get to hear myself talk and laugh, while making everyone else happy when they see how adorable I look from me talking gibberish language. The play sessions can hinder me from going after things that can harm me as I get to focus on beautiful colours and toys suitable for babies my age. Within this controlled environment, not only will I be able to learn new things quickly, my antibodies are also strengthened as I feel happy from the sense of achievements I get in the play sessions.

Next, is another point that is pretty broad and quite important for a growing baby like me. I need to be happy at all times. When I am happy, I make everyone else happy!

Mommy always ensure that I am happy in her care. The things that she does and the environment I am in, I must be one of the happiest babies on earth (even though I can be a pain sometimes hehe). Well, they did call me a pwincesh. Therefore, I am entitled to making things a little difficult for mommy and daddy so that I could see how much they love me. Happiness is such a powerful feeling because it makes everything feels good while my inner being becomes stronger.

Then, there is that proper rest. Being a curious baby is tiring work! I would want to walk here and there, climb up and down and learn up new tricks. I always need proper sleep so that my body is able to rest so that my mind is fresh to get curiosity working well again :) Mommy and daddy always ensured that I take my afternoon naps and during night time, my bed and room is made up so cozily to help me sleep longer and better. I also like that I have friends to keep me company while I sleep so that I feel safe and secure. When I wake up fresh, I feel good, my body feels good and my antibodies remain tough.

Once I am up and fresh, it is good to let me continue to explore. From there, I would learn from the adults what I can and cannot do. I will learn to refrain from touching dangerous stuff when I hear the word, "No", and have fun exploring other harmless experiences. I gain self-confidence, I am not afraid to face the outside world and I do not get awkward when introduced to new things. Exploring my curiosities can help expand my vision and keep me happy. And you all know that when I am happy, my body responds better to fighting illnesses. This is also why I am helping mommy to do up this blog entry... I know that the Nuffnang Friso Family day out at Kizsports 1Utama will allow me to explore more new things. So far, mommy has done a great job in nurturing positive traits in me but getting an invite to this event can help her learn more new tricks to keep me happy. And you all know my capabilities when I am happy :D

Just because I am a baby, that doesn't mean I don't need any mental stimulation. Mommy and daddy read to me, and teach me to read as well. Right now, I may only be interested to see those colourful pictures and illustrations in the children's books but I know I will read soon. Mommy and daddy would also place me in the shopping cartwheel while they continue to add items in the cart. From there, I get to see the items mommy use at home and familiarise myself with them. Who knows... I may even be calculating in my head the number of items! Mommy also let me play with the rubic's cube. Who knows... I can probably solve it in due time haha... All these keep me occupied while my curious apetite is further fulfilled. When I become smarter, my antibodies get smarter too. And I become a tougher baby when I am smarter.

Mommy also ensure I get my healthy dose on social interaction abilities. My curious mind need to include other babies as well, so that my learning experience become more complete. From here, I will learn basic communications skills and practise good habits so that friends will not run away from me. I also need friends who can help me to fight illnesses together, no? Can we combine antibodies? Oh, mommy said, "No". Well, I do not really know how antibodies really work but I do know that when I am with friends, I become active, I learn things better due to the encouragement I get from them, and this keeps me happy. And you all know how much stronger I get to be when I am happy :)

And while I satisfy my thirst to learn and try out new things, mommy never forget to teach me discipline. It is never too early to teach a baby like me, discipline... that includes putting me in my high chair during meals, strapping me in my very own car seat before we go anywhere and if I am extra naughty, I would walk over to the corner to reflect on what I did that made mommy upset. The discipline can help build character and prevent unnecessary incidents. I will know when I can explore my curiosities and when I should sit still while I enjoy the view from my eyes. Therefore, my body gets stronger and my immune system is ready to withstand illnesses.

Other than those listed above, there are so much more that can be done but as a baby, these are the only things that I can remember for now. If you extend an invitation to my family, to the Nuffnang Friso Family day out, I can even reveal other details on how mommy helps me increase my immunity. For now, I would like to satisfy my curiosity in a book abang is supposed to read to me. Bye bye!
