Jada's first taste of food was indeed an adventure!

Little jj has gotten the first taste of food.

I started out with carrots simply because that was what I first fed my little munchkin when he started weaning. The experience though, felt different. Although the little munchkin had a knack for vegetables, his little sister doesn't look that keen.

though not that keen, she did look like she enjoyed the experience...

I guess I shouldn't judge her keen-ness simply because she only ate a small portion and cried for me to stop feeding her more. It may be a normal thing as every baby shows different developmental signs.

Well, I'll keep trying.

Her blog has been updated (hehe...).

If you decide to have a baby puree party, please, please invite baby Khalish and I ;D

Khalish has started eating as well. He subtly took out the apple and pear puree I fed him by doing bubbles. 2nd day was better.

If Jada didn't eat as much in the morning, would you feed her again in the noon/afternoon (assuming that you feed her according to annabel's planner -morning feed for the first week).

dear chech,
ahahahhh... sure... bring khalish's bumbo seat as well. then i may be able to learn a thing or two from you.

good for your that khalish's doing better in the eating department. jada didn't make any bubbles. instead, she was pushing out food with her tongue yet she wants me to feed her more. it's as if she thinks eating is play time.

i want to follow annabel's planner but i terbuat too much potato + cauliflower and they might not finish by 6 weeks. so, i thought of feeding her twice a day. but tak dapat pun since she slept through lunch time hehe... so, i guess i should just stick to the plan ;D

so... you got the book too, eh?? good kan?

I didn't get to buy the 100 puree recipes. Too bad. But, the baby food planner was good enough for a first-time mom. Her cooking/food preparing utensils are not sold at Mothercare though (I went to the ones in Alamanda and MidValley).

Learn from me? Terbalik dah :p. I'm the one who scours for parenting tips from other blogs (like yours).

chech,
ya la... i searched for not only her utensils but also the baby high chair. nampak so cool. but unfortunately, it is not available here. dah puas google everywhere...

hehe... i thought i could learn from you since khalish dah pro makan... ;P

dear emly,
seronoknya dah tak payah buat puree ni, eh? hehe.

anis...
omg... sama la... i pun ada weekly meal planner i tampal on the fridge hehe... siap ada checklist berapa banyak portion each frozen puree and lasts sampai berapa haribulan ;P

today i tried potato & cauliflower tu she seemed to like it. i rasa carrots tu tak runny enough kot... next time i kena tambah lagi fluid to make it smoother.

tomorrow is rice cereal + broccoli. let's see how she'd take it, eh? i hope she'll like it since i ate so much broccoli when she was in me ;D

thanks, babe! take care...

Toughcookie, my boy inherits his uncles' tolak-batu-dan-kayu-only genes, I guess :p. It is a blessing that he loves solid food as I/thenanny could add milk into his meal. He doesn't take as much milk when being fed using a bottle.

Jada loves potato and cauliflower? I haven't tried that mainly because the recipe isn't in the book I bought (heheh... nampak sangat amateur cook). Nak google for the recipelah.

azmir,
yup, saw the tag around 1-ish last night when i was busy reading updated blogs ;P

masa baca your post tu i was wondering if you would tag me. indeed you did!

yours sound so interesting. i'll do it nanti. kena fikir 10 stuff about meself hehe...

dear chech,
takyah google. nah here it is -
1 1/2 cup potatoes, peeled, steam for 15-20 min. 2 1/2 cups of small cauliflower steamed for 10min. you can either blend them separately and mix them after or do it like me... i pureed them both together.

ada lebih sikit tu i tasted it and i knew she'd like it.

don worry about being an amateur cook. at least ikut buku we know it is safe rather than main buat aje kan ;D

it's great that khalish can tolak batu and kayu aje hehe... i hope jada won't be a picky eater because all of us in the family are so not picky eaters...

heheee.... i know babe... all the checklists sampai DH pun cakap, tak cukup ke checklist kat ofis sampai at home pun kena ada too.... what to do la kan? we used to be in the industry where checklist is of utmost important since workload seems to be flying in from everywhere and every angle....

hmmmm... in my case, I ate lotsa fish (during my last trimester) and i ate chocolates macam makan nasi.... but areya is not keen with choccies at all and whenever she sees chocolates, she'll say, 'mommy eat cokket' and when I offered her some, she'll say, 'no, thank you, baby dun eat cokket'.... hihiiiiii.....

dear anis,
ala cutenye baby dun eat cokket ahahahhh... pandai dia. not good for the teeth pun kan.

i sekarang ni baru makan banyak fish and chocolate, kelakar tak... i wanted her to get as much omega3 from my milk and as for chocolate, entah. tiba2 pulak minat chocs.

and you are so right about the checklist. it was so important and makes our lives more organised. i like it that way. at least i get everything in order.

dear inn...
you so pandai la bought the book. takpe... nanti acat pass you our gift to you, you can pass him the book eh? tak pun, you may need it more than i do in the near future *wink*
